The Hands on History Museum is housed in Hull's old Grammar School, built in the late sixteenth century. William Wilberforce studied here, and current displays explore the Story of Hull, including a fascinating ‘hands on’ glimpse into Victorian Childhood. An Egyptian gallery is also home to a 2,600 year old mummy and unique early replicas of King Tutankhamen’s treasures. The Hands on History Museum features exhibits related to: social history, decorative and applied art, costume and textiles, archaeology, fine art and archives.
