Animal Inhabitants of Himeji City Zoo

The Himeji City Zoo is home to a diverse range of animals. In 2020, the zoo's inhabitants included a giraffe, a camel, an elephant, a raccoon dog (also known as a tanuki), a red panda, several monkeys, flamingos, a pelican, and other sea birds, including penguins. The zoo also houses several big cats, different birds of prey, a donkey, two polar bears, and a hippopotamus. This wide variety of animals offers visitors a chance to learn about and observe different species from around the world.
