The Friend–Hack House, also known as the Hack House, is a historic building located at 775 County Street in Milan, Michigan. It was built as a private residence and has since been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. Today, it serves as the Hack House Museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the past.
The Friend–Hack House is a prime example of Stick / Eastlake style architecture in Milan. The building is a sprawling two-story structure with a gable roof and single-story rear and side additions. It is clad in clapboard, including diagonal boarding in the gables, and features decorative kingposts under the gables. Large verandahs line the house, adding to its architectural charm.
