Hungarian National Museum

The Hungarian National Museum is a historical museum that is the oldest of its kind in Hungary. The museum documents the history of Hungary from the prehistoric age till the modern era. The museum has a number of permanent exhibitions on display, which explain the history of Hungary in a chronological fashion with archaeological finds and historical mementos, including a 14.000 years old decorated moose ulna and a rosetta necklace. A separate exhibition is devoted to the Hungarian royal mantle. Every few months there is a new temporary exhibition.
