Transformation of Issaquah Depot

The Issaquah Depot ceased to function as a passenger station in the 1940s, and was abandoned by the Northern Pacific in 1962. The City of Issaquah purchased the building in 1984 and initiated restoration work in 1985. The restoration was completed in the early 1990s, and the depot now operates as a museum. The museum is managed by the non-profit organization, Issaquah Historical Museums, formerly known as the Issaquah Historical Society.
