Kaleideum Downtown

Currently, Kaleideum operates two distinct locations - Kaleideum Downtown and Kaleideum North. The former, previously known as The Children's Museum of Winston-Salem, is a hub of interactive exhibits and programs designed for children. The latter, formerly SciWorks, offers a wide range of exhibits and educational programs focusing on science and the environment.

Kaleideum North, situated at 400 West Hanes Mill Road in Winston-Salem, is a vast space dedicated to learning and exploration. It comprises a 30,000 square feet building filled with various exhibits, a 15-acre environmental park, and a planetarium. This location offers a unique blend of indoor and outdoor experiences, making it a versatile destination for visitors of all ages.

Discovering Kaleideum Downtown

Kaleideum Downtown, previously known as The Children's Museum of Winston-Salem, is located at 390 South Liberty Street in Winston-Salem. This location is particularly designed with children in mind, offering a variety of interactive exhibits and programs that promote learning through play. It's a perfect destination for families with young children.

Exhibits at Kaleideum North

Kaleideum North offers a diverse range of exhibits and learning areas. It features a planetarium, PhysicsWorks, BioWorks, HealthWorks, KevaWorks, and Mountains to Sea. These exhibits cover a wide range of topics from physics to human biology, and from natural history to construction. The museum also houses a collection of small live animals, including a Blue-and-yellow macaw. Additionally, there are nature trails and barnyard and garden learning areas, offering a variety of outdoor learning experiences.
