Klosterlund Museum is a quaint establishment nestled in the serene surroundings of Stenholt Skov, near Bølling Sø, to the east of Ikast. This location offers a peaceful and scenic environment that complements the historical and cultural richness of the museum.
The museum is home to artifacts from the Klosterlund culture, which represents an early phase of the Maglemose culture, dating back to approximately 7,500 – 7,000 BC. These exhibits provide a fascinating insight into the early human settlements and their way of life.
One of the highlights of the museum is the 'Face to Face' exhibition, where visitors can see the Hammerum girl. Her well-preserved dress is a unique artifact, significant not only in a national context but also internationally.
