Kunstbanken Hedmark Kunstsenter is a unique institution in Norway, owned by Bildende Kunstnere Hedmark, Norske Kunsthåndverkere Øst-Norge, and Hedmark county municipality. This collaboration between artist organizations and the county municipality is unique for a Norwegian art institution. The Kunstbanken is located in the old Norges Bank building in the center of Hamar, at Parkgata 21.
Artistic Focus and Art Shop
Kunstbanken Hedmark Kunstsenter aims to showcase a variety of artistic expressions, with a particular focus on experimental and innovative art. The gallery displays both Norwegian and international contemporary art, providing a diverse range of artistic styles and themes. Additionally, the Art Shop at Kunstbanken sells gift items made by artists in Hedmark, as well as from the rest of the country, offering a unique opportunity to purchase original art pieces.
