La Triennale di Milano is a respected design and art museum in the heart of Milan. Visitors appreciate its diverse exhibitions covering architecture, design, fashion, and contemporary art. The museum's temporary exhibitions are often praised for their creativity and relevance. Many reviewers highlight the building's impressive architecture and the pleasant surrounding park. The permanent collection, focusing on Italian design, receives positive feedback for its comprehensive overview of the country's design history. Some visitors note that certain exhibitions can be text-heavy, which may be challenging for non-Italian speakers. The museum cafe and bookshop are generally well-regarded. While most find the entry fee reasonable, a few mention that some special exhibitions may require additional tickets. Overall, La Triennale di Milano is considered a valuable cultural institution that offers insights into Italian design and contemporary art trends.
We visited the Tiennale Milano since it was recommended to us as “Very accessible museum about Italian design, pop culture and tech. Ideal for young people studying design or fashion”.
When we entered, and payed 50,- (!) for that, the person at the entrance told us there was an international exhibition which we did not mind as long as it would have been about “design, pop culture and tech”. His english was quite limited, so we did not get to the details of the international exhibition. Already after a few minutes in the first room we realised this was about geopolitics. Absolutely not what we came for. We returned to the front desk immediately and asked to be refunded. Everybody we talked to (verbally and in writing) told us refunds were not possible, that it was their legal right not to refund and that I could read everything about the exhibition and rules and conditions on the website. Horrible mistake in customer service to refer to rules and regulations.
Unacceptable and contradicting international commerce laws, since purchase regrets within reasonable time after the purchase have to be refunded!
