The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum (LCMM) is a non-profit organization situated in Vergennes, Vermont, US. The museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history and archaeology of Lake Champlain. It offers a unique opportunity to delve into the maritime history of the region, providing a comprehensive understanding of the lake's past.
One of the key activities of the LCMM is the study and management of shipwrecks discovered in Lake Champlain. Since its inauguration, the LCMM has grown significantly. It now includes 18 buildings spread across two sites. These buildings house a variety of collections and exhibits, a boat shop and small shipyard, blacksmith facilities, an archaeological conservation laboratory, a museum store, offices, and a lecture space. This expansion allows the museum to offer a wide range of experiences to its visitors.

As a seasonal museum, our grounds and exhibits are open from May to October every year. Museum grounds and exhibits open for the 2024 season on May 18, 2024 and close after October 20, 2024.
