The Las Pumas Rescue Center, also known as Centro de Rescate Las Pumas, is a rural park spanning approximately 14 hectares or 35 acres. It is situated in the southern part of Cañas, within the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica. This location offers a unique opportunity for tourists to explore the rich biodiversity of the region.
Most of the animals at the Las Pumas Rescue Center are brought in by government officials, having been rescued from human interaction. After undergoing rehabilitation, many of these species are reintroduced to the wild under the supervision of veterinary care. This process provides a unique insight into wildlife conservation efforts for tourists visiting the center.
