She began her unique collection of hair art in 1956 and opened the museum in 1986 within her cosmetology school. Leila's Hair Museum boasts an impressive collection of over 600 wreaths and more than 2,000 pieces of jewelry, all made from hair. These pieces date back to the 19th century and earlier, with the oldest exhibit being a brooch from 1680. This extensive collection provides a unique insight into the history and evolution of hair art.
