The Lenawee County Historical Society Museum is housed in the historic Adrian Public Library building, located at 110 East Church Street in downtown Adrian, Michigan. This building, originally used as a library, was designated as a Michigan Historic Site in 1976 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. It is situated within the Downtown Adrian Commercial Historic District and adjacent to the Adrian Engine House No. 1.
The Lenawee County Historical Society Museum building is a 2½ story structure, showcasing a blend of Mission Revival Style, Spanish Colonial Revival, and Richardsonian Romanesque architecture. Constructed of brick and sandstone, the building measures 70 feet by 70 feet. It features two main entrance facades, both of which are through massive arches, trimmed with carved sandstone.
