The Levanger Fotomuseum, located in Levanger, is a museum dedicated to the history of photography. It was formerly known as the Levanger Museum, but underwent a name change in 2016 to better reflect its focus on photography.
The Levanger Fotomuseum boasts a collection of approximately 600,000 negatives and objects related to photography. A significant portion of this collection is made up of archives from individual photographers who were active in Levanger and the surrounding areas.
One of the highlights of the Levanger Fotomuseum is the archive of Harald Renbjør, a chemist and pioneer in the field of color photography. His chemical laboratory has been reconstructed within the museum, providing a unique insight into his work and the development of color photography.
