The Magnetic Island Museum, located at 11-15 Granite Street, Picnic Bay, Townsville, Queensland, Australia, is a heritage-listed former school known as Picnic Bay State School. The building, which was designed by the Queensland Department of Public Works, was constructed in 1921 and has since been transformed into a museum.
The Magnetic Island Museum building is composed of a single room with a front verandah and an enclosed rear verandah. All windows are protected by decorative timber and iron window hoods. While the roof has been replaced with corrugated iron, the original gutters remain intact.
The former Picnic Bay State School, now known as the Magnetic Island Museum, was officially listed on the Queensland Heritage Register on 4 June 1996.
