The Gardens are home to a preserved collection of epiphytes and over 20,000 living plants. This includes 5,500 orchids, 3,500 bromeliads, and 1,600 other plant species. This diverse collection provides a unique opportunity for visitors to experience and learn about a wide variety of plant life.
The Gardens maintain a variety of plants and gardens, including banyans, bamboo, live oaks, palms, mangroves, succulents, wildflowers, cycads, bromeliads. In addition, there is a butterfly garden, a fragrance garden, an edible garden, and a koi pond. All these are located on a site bordering Sarasota Bay, providing a beautiful backdrop for visitors.
