The Markfield Beam Engine and Museum is a Grade II listed building with a 100 horsepower restored, working steam-powered beam engine from 1886. It is considered to be a masterpiece of Victorian engineering and an example of industrial heritage of social and engineering importance. The building that houses the engine is situated in Markfield Park, the grounds of the former Tottenham Sewage Works.
