The Colombo Mill, a monument of industrial archaeology, is situated on the Lambro river in the heart of Monza, at Vicolo Scuole 11. This mill is a testament to the once thriving milling industry along the Lambro river, which in the 17th century boasted hundreds of mills. Today, it stands as the only intact mill left in Monza, preserving interesting artifacts and machinery related to milling inside its two parallel buildings.
The last owners of the Colombo Mill donated it to the municipality in 1987. Following restoration, the museum management of the mill was entrusted to the MEMB Museo Etnologico Monza e Brianza. This museum is responsible for preserving and showcasing the mill's historical significance and the artifacts it houses.
