The Midwest Museum of Natural History was known for its primary exhibits, which consisted of dioramas depicting the natural biomes of North America and Africa. These dioramas featured over 100 mounted animals, including one of the few and one of the largest elephants on display in the country.
In addition to its primary exhibits, the Midwest Museum of Natural History also housed a geology collection and an interactive children's area. Temporary exhibits were also displayed in the Rotary Exhibit Gallery and Oasis Room.
The Midwest Museum of Natural History offered a variety of educational programs and activities. These included school field trips, scout and homeschool programs, and group tours. The museum also provided year-round public programming for all ages, including nature-based preschool classes, adult lectures, dissection workshops, geology programs, live animal presentations, and more.
It is important to note that the Midwest Museum of Natural History closed permanently in February 2020. Therefore, it is no longer available for visits or tours.
