Affiliation and Historical Significance

The Møre og Romsdal Agricultural Museum is a branch of the Sunnmøre Museum Foundation. The museum is located on a part of the Gjermundnes farm, which was purchased by the county in 1898. This site was chosen for the establishment of the Gjermundnes agricultural school, further enhancing the historical significance of the location.

The Unusually Large Barn

One of the highlights of the museum is the unusually large barn from the turn of the century. While the typical size of barns in this region is around 150-250 square meters, the barn at the museum, which was the former operating building of the agricultural school, spans an impressive 2000 square meters.
