Mount Zion One Room School and its collection

The Mt. Zion One Room School, a historic U.S. school, was located at the intersection of Ironshire Street and Church Street in Snow Hill, Maryland until November 2015. It was then moved by the Worcester County Historical Society to the Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum, which is situated on Old Furnace Road off Route 12, approximately 5 miles north of Snow Hill, Maryland.

Preservation of Early 20th Century School Environment

The Mt. Zion One Room School Museum preserves the appearance of a school from the early 20th century. It showcases typical items found in a classroom during that period, providing a glimpse into the educational practices and environment of the time.
