The museum of Castiglioncello, founded in 1914 by Luigi Adriano Milani, stands as a pioneering example of a decentralized museum. It houses discoveries from an Etruscan necropolis dating back to the 4th – 1st century BC, which were unearthed during urbanization works between 1903 and 1911.
