The Museo della Pesca, also known as the Museum of Fishing and Lake Traditions, is an ethnographic museum located in Peschiera del Garda. This museum is a great place to learn about the local fishing traditions and the history of the area. It is housed in the Sala Radetzky of the Porta Verona Artillery Barracks, part of the Habsburg military complex built between 1854 and 1857 by Count Radetzky.

Exhibits at the Museum

The museum houses some typical lake boats, a collection of old outboard motors still in working order, and a series of tools (nets, anchors, fishing rods) used for fishing on Lake Garda. These exhibits provide a fascinating insight into the traditional methods of fishing on the lake, and the equipment that was used. It's a unique opportunity to see these items up close and learn about their history and use.
