The Mario Testino Museum, also known as MATE, is a non-profit organization that was established in 2012 by the renowned Peruvian fashion photographer, Mario Testino. This museum serves as a platform for the development of creative industries and showcases international contemporary art in Lima, as well as Peruvian talent to the world.
MATE hosts exhibitions from contemporary artists alongside a permanent exhibition of Mario Testino's work. This provides visitors with a unique opportunity to explore the works of various artists in addition to appreciating the extensive collection of Testino's photographs.
The permanent collection at MATE explores Testino’s work through eight rooms. Each room is divided according to elements that distinguish his images, providing a comprehensive insight into his unique style and creative process.
In addition to its permanent collection, MATE also presents temporary exhibitions in the Temporal I and MATE Lab rooms. These exhibitions feature a variety of works from both national and international artists, offering a diverse range of art for visitors to enjoy.
