The Museu da Cortiça aims to preserve the history of the Robinson Cork Factory from the 19th century to the present day. It does this through a collection of documentation, products, and machinery that were used in the factory. This provides a unique insight into the cork industry's evolution over the years.
Since 2009, the Museu da Cortiça has been closed to the public. Despite several attempts by the municipal chamber to purchase the museum, they have been unsuccessful. However, it's worth noting that in 2001, the museum was considered the best in Europe.
