The Museu Rodoviário de Paraibuna, situated in the municipality of Comendador Levy Gasparian, is a unique institution that documents the history of transport on the old União e Indústria road. This museum is a significant site for those interested in the evolution of transportation and the historical context of the region.
Among the many exhibits in the Museu Rodoviário de Paraibuna, one of the most notable is a vehicle known as the "Mazeppa". This vehicle is considered one of the most modern and comfortable "cars" of the mid-19th century, offering a glimpse into the past and the advancements in transportation during that era.
The building that houses the Museu Rodoviário de Paraibuna has its own historical significance. Constructed in 1860 by the União e Indústria Company, it served as the 8th Change Station, one of twelve stops on the União e Indústria road. This station was used for changing horses and carriages and for resting passengers on trips between Petrópolis and Juiz de Fora.
