The Early Middle Ages Museum Carantana, often simply referred to as Museum Carantana, is situated in the Carinthian village of Molzbichl, which is a cadastral community of Spittal an der Drau. This museum is dedicated to the presentation of significant early medieval findings from archaeological excavations in the immediate vicinity.
Museum Carantana is regularly open to the public from mid-May to mid-October. This allows tourists to plan their visit during this period and enjoy the rich history and archaeological findings that the museum has to offer.
A significant part of the exhibition at Museum Carantana consists of the interlaced marble slabs that once adorned the monastery church from the eighth century.
