The Court of Busleyden is one of the buildings in Mechelen that dates back to the early 16th century. It was commissioned by Hieronymus of Busleyden, a member of the Great Council. Jeroen van Busleyden was also the founder of the Collegium Trilingue at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, breeding ground of new life in science and art. The house in Early Renaissance style is now a museum.

Housed in a beautifully restored 16th-century palace, the museum's architecture itself is a testament to the era it represents. The exhibitions are well-curated, presenting a mix of historical artifacts, artworks, and interactive displays that effectively bring the past to life.

Visitors appreciate the museum's focus on Mechelen's Golden Age and its significance during the Renaissance. Many reviewers highlight the audio guide as informative and helpful in navigating the exhibits.

The museum's layout is generally praised for its logical flow, allowing guests to explore at their own pace. The integration of modern technology, such as touchscreens and multimedia presentations, enhances the overall experience without overshadowing the historical content.

On the downside, some visitors mention that certain areas of the museum can feel a bit dark, which occasionally makes it challenging to fully appreciate the details of some exhibits.
