Gemeentemuseum Maassluis illustrates the history of Maassluis and exhibits art. The collection includes paintings, drawings, textiles, objects related to daily life and various handicrafts and models of fishing boats and buildings. The core of the art collection comprises works by figurative artist Jeanne Bieruma Oosting, Jan van Heel, Otto B. de Kat and Sierk Schröder. In addition, the museum exhibits works by artists from the region.
