The Museum of Archeology and Ethnology is a part of the University of São Paulo. It is situated within the University City Armando de Salles Oliveira. The museum is located in the city of São Paulo, making it easily accessible for tourists visiting the city.
The museum boasts a vast collection of 120,000 objects and images. These artifacts represent the material culture of various regions including America with a special focus on Brazil, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Africa. The collection spans across different time periods, from Prehistory to the present day.
In addition to its collection, the museum also houses a large library with approximately 50,000 volumes. This includes a variety of books and newspapers, with 1,100 different titles, of which about 360 are still in circulation.
