The Museum of Modern Art (Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt, MMK) is a modern art museum in Frankfurt am Main. The building was designed by the Viennese architect Hans Hollein and was nicknamed 'Tortenstück' (the cake tip). The basis of its modern art collection is the legacy of collector Karl Ströher84 works by artists who belong to the art movements Pop-art and Minimalism. Carl Andre, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, Roy Lichtenstein, Walter De Maria, Claes Oldenburg and Andy Warhol, among others, are represented with several works. Artists represented in the Photography collection include Thomas Ruff, Barbara Klemm, Jeff Wall and Jock Sturges.
