The Naturkundemuseum is a natural history museum in Leipzig with geological-paleontological, botanical, zoological and archaeological collections. The museum includes the insect collection of Alexander Julius Reichert. The collections contain a large number of scientifically valuable exhibits. Among them are numerous objects from mining landscapes and species of extinct or endangered plant and animal species. The museum's collection also includes numerous photographs and documents on the development of Saxon life from the end of the 19th century.
