In 2015, the Nordfriisk Instituut expanded with the inauguration of the Nordfriisk Futuur. This extension building houses a multipurpose hall that is used for lecture events. Additionally, it is home to a multimedia permanent exhibition on the project 'Language Land North Frisia'. This exhibition provides an immersive experience into the North Frisian language and culture.
In 2018, the Nordfriisk Instituut added another multimedia permanent exhibition, this time focusing on the history and culture of North Frisia. This exhibition is open to the public during the institute's opening hours, offering visitors a chance to delve deeper into the rich history and vibrant culture of the region.
The Nordfriisk Instituut maintains a reference library that is open to both its staff and the interested public. The library's collection focuses on publications related to all thematic areas that the institute members deal with. This includes writings with local and/or linguistic reference, offering a comprehensive resource for those interested in North Frisian language, history, and culture.
