The Northern Ohio Railway Museum is a non-profit, educational organization that was established in 1965. It is located near Chippewa Lake, Ohio, United States. The museum is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and exhibition of streetcars, artifacts, and assorted railway equipment related to the origin, development, and use of transit equipment and operations in northern Ohio.
The Northern Ohio Railway Museum is situated on a 42-acre property in the Chippewa Valley, conveniently located near two Interstate highways. It is approximately 45 minutes from Cleveland, 30 minutes from Akron, and 90 minutes from Columbus, making it easily accessible for visitors from these cities.
The Northern Ohio Railway Museum boasts a collection of over thirty railway cars and other railway equipment. Most of these items, once restored, will be displayed and operated for the public. This provides a unique opportunity for visitors to experience and learn about the history and operation of railway transit.
