Today,I spent four delightful hours enjoying the NSU Fort Lauderdale Art Museum in downtown Fort Lauderdale.This review is dedicated to its fine collection of Latin American Art donated by Stanley and Pearl Goodman .In the Goodman Collection on the 2nd Floor,I saw splendid 20th Century Paintings produced by the giants of 20th Century Mexican Art such as;Diego Rivera("Corn Seller"),Rufino Tamayo("Doctor"),Jose Orozco("Fortunate Couple"),David Alfaro Siqueros("Mother and Child",Duco Paint on Masonite),and Lenora Carrington(110 Artes").I also savored delightful paintings from leading 20th Century South American Painters such as;Joaquin Torres Garcia("Tabac")("Railroad Station"),Candido Portinari(Brazilian,"Indians Carrying Pau"),and Xul Soler("Mountains and Stairs").lAs usual,I enjoyed fine 20th Century American Paintings by Frank Stella.Julian Schnabel("Olatz Schnabel"),Tom Wessellmann ,and Phillip Guston on the 1st Floor.The curatorial work by Bonnie Clearwater and her staff are worthy of approbation.
