Observer Building
Source

Currently, the Dover-Foxcroft Historical Society owns the Observer Building. The society uses the building as a museum and storage space. The first floor operates as a museum, while the upstairs is used for storage, office, and meeting space. This allows visitors to explore the rich history of the building and the area.

Historical Significance of The Observer Building

The Observer Building holds historical significance as it was the home of The Piscataquis Observer for many years. The Piscataquis Observer is one of Maine's oldest weekly newspapers, with a publication history dating back to 1838. The Observer housed its offices and printing operations in this building until 1997.
