Old College Hall, originally known as Tualatin Academy, is a historic building that now serves as the Pacific University Museum. Constructed in 1850, it is one of the oldest collegiate buildings in the western United States. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and is a significant part of Oregon's history. The museum within the building showcases the history of the university and includes items from school founder Tabitha Moffatt Brown, first school president Sidney Harper Marsh, and various alumni and friends.
Visits to the Pacific University Museum, housed in Old College Hall, are arranged by appointment with the Office of the President. This allows for a more personalized and informative experience, as visitors can explore the museum at their own pace and learn about the rich history of the university and the building itself.
