Historical Role of the Original Wasco County Courthouse

The Original Wasco County Courthouse is one of only two remaining courthouses from before Oregon became a state. It served Wasco County from 1859 to 1882, and then functioned as The Dalles city hall until 1907. This makes it a significant part of Oregon's history.
