The Ortsmuseum Hallau is situated in the churchyard of the village church St. Moritz, in the municipality of Hallau, within the canton of Schaffhausen in Switzerland. This location offers a unique setting for the museum, surrounded by the historical and cultural significance of the church and the village.
The Ortsmuseum Hallau boasts a large and rich collection of weapons, household and agricultural tools, and a functioning Linotype typesetting machine. This machine was used for a long time to print the Klettgauer newspaper, adding a unique historical context to the museum's exhibits.
In 2012, a new exhibition about the municipality of Hallau was set up in the same floor where a Rococo paneling is located. This paneling, painted by Pastor Johann Conrad Leu in 1749, adds a touch of historical artistry to the museum's exhibits.
