The Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum is a naval museum situated in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Expansions and Additions to the Museum

The museum has seen several expansions since its inception. The aircraft carrier USS Yorktown was opened to the public on 3 January 1976. Later, the destroyer USS Laffey was added to the museum in 1978. The museum expanded again in 1981 with the addition of the submarine USS Clamagore in May and the NS Savannah in October. These additions provide a comprehensive view of naval history and technology.

Vietnam War-era Naval Base Replica

In 1993, a replica of a Vietnam War-era naval base was opened at the museum. This addition provides visitors with a unique opportunity to experience and understand the conditions and operations of a naval base during the Vietnam War.
