Porzellanmuseum Münster and its collection

The Porzellanmuseum in Münster, a city in Westphalia, was inaugurated on November 16, 2003, in Gasselstiege. This museum is dedicated to the art of porcelain painting, a craft that has been practiced in Münster since the mid-19th century.

The Collection of the Porzellanmuseum

The Porzellanmuseum's collection is extensive, with over 10,000 exhibits that span 150 years of porcelain painting history. The collection includes works from the Weimar Republic era by August Roloff, whose works made him famous beyond the borders of Westphalia.

Current Location of the Porzellanmuseum

As of October 2012, the Porzellanmuseum is still in search of a permanent location. In the meantime, it operates as a traveling exhibition, temporarily setting up in various locations. Visitors are advised to check the museum's website for the most current information on where to find the exhibition.
