Prestongrange is a site of major importance in the story of Scotland’s Industrial Revolution. Visitors can discover the story of the harbour, glass works, pottery, colliery and brickworks. The Prestongrange Museum features exhibits related to: science and technology, agriculture, archaeology, coins and medals, social history and industry. Key themes, people and exhibits in the museum include: friendly society banners, william darling mackay, bronze age beaker, yeomanry costume, makmerry pottery, stone anchors, henry raeburn, john bellany, curling, pottery, fishing, farming, tourism and golf.
