Ringkøbing Museum, the oldest of 13 departments under Ringkøbing-Skjern Museum, was formed as a result of a merger between Ringkøbing Museum and Skjern-Egvad Museum in 2007. This historical context adds to the rich heritage of the museum, making it a significant part of the local cultural landscape.
Established on October 27, 1908, Ringkøbing Museum was created with the sole purpose of preserving and showcasing Ringkøbing's market town history. The museum began with a collection of objects from the town, providing a tangible link to the past and offering visitors a unique insight into the local history.
