The Römermuseum Bedaium in Seebruck on the Chiemsee is a municipal museum that houses around 500 exhibits. This museum is managed by the municipality of Seeon-Seebruck, offering visitors a chance to explore a wide range of artifacts.
The Römermuseum Bedaium was inaugurated on October 15, 1988. The museum was established to commemorate the historical significance of the fort Bedaium, founded in 50 AD. This fort is the precursor of today's Seebruck, which is located at the outflow of the Alz from the Chiemsee.
The exhibition at the Römermuseum Bedaium was curated by the Prehistoric State Collection in Munich. The museum showcases evidence from half a millennium of Noric-Celtic village community and the Roman beneficiary station. It also displays prehistoric finds and artifacts from the Bavarian settlement.
