The Römermuseum Wallsee-Sindelburg, located in Wallsee-Sindelburg in Lower Austria, is a museum dedicated to the history and exhibition of the finds from the Wallsee cohort fort and its civilian settlement (vicus) discovered in 1966. The museum provides a unique opportunity to delve into the rich history of the region and explore the artifacts from the Roman era.
Opened in 1997, the Römermuseum Wallsee-Sindelburg is managed by an association and is housed in the so-called "Salzhaus". This building is conveniently located at the northeast exit of the market square, opposite the entrance to the park of Wallsee Castle. Its location makes it easily accessible for visitors.
The Römermuseum Wallsee-Sindelburg is open to visitors from May to September, every Wednesday from 6 to 7 pm. Visitors can also schedule an appointment for a visit outside these hours. This flexibility allows tourists to plan their visit according to their convenience.
