The Royal Military Police Museum in Fareham, England offers visitors an informative look into the history and role of the Royal Military Police. The museum houses a collection of artifacts, uniforms, and equipment that showcase the development of military policing over time. Visitors appreciate the well-organized displays and the opportunity to learn about the various duties and responsibilities of military police.

The museum provides insight into different historical periods, including World War I, World War II, and more recent conflicts. Many visitors find the personal stories and accounts particularly engaging, as they offer a human perspective on military service. The museum also features interactive elements and audio-visual displays, which help to bring the exhibits to life.

While the museum is generally well-received, some visitors note that it is relatively small and can be thoroughly explored in a couple of hours. The limited size means that certain topics may not be covered in great depth. Additionally, some guests mention that the museum could benefit from more frequent updates to its exhibits and presentation style.

Despite its compact size, the Royal Military Police Museum is generally considered good value for money, especially for those with an interest in military history or law enforcement. The staff are often praised for their knowledge and friendliness, enhancing the overall experience for many visitors.

Accessibility may be an issue for some, as the museum is located within a military base, which can make it slightly challenging to find and enter. Visitors are advised to check opening times and entry requirements before planning their trip.

Amazing. My husband had always wanted to see the D day map and today his wish came true! You do have to phone up and book to see that. The building it is housed in is a great house.

We also wanted to see the Royal Military Police museum which is a 100 yard from the house. My father was in the RMP in WW2 and the curator was very helpful as were all the members of staff there.

The museum itself is very detailed and well kept and presented ,well worth a visit.

You have to book in at the gate but this is a very simple procedure, and the car park outside is only a couple hundred yards walk away.
