The Salons is a monumental mansion that presents a picture of art history from the 16th to the 20th century. The museum's collection includes works by "old" painters, including Peter Paul Rubens, Lambert Lombard, Sebastiaen Vranckx, Willem Claeszoon Heda and Joos de Momper, and newer painters, including Ferdinand De Braekeleer, Hendrik Leys, Félicien Rops, Eugène Laermans, Guillaume Vogels and James Ensor. Important in the museum is the collection-Henri Evenepoel, consisting of nine paintings and a number of drawings. In addition, the museum displays a collection of works by Wase artists and period furniture and applied arts.
