Schloss Berleburg, located in Bad Berleburg, Germany, is a grand baroque palace that offers visitors a glimpse into the life of German nobility. The castle, still inhabited by the princely family of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, allows public access to certain areas through guided tours. Visitors generally appreciate the well-preserved interiors, featuring ornate furnishings, impressive artwork, and historical artifacts. The guided tours are often praised for being informative, providing insights into the castle's history and the family's lineage. Many reviewers highlight the beautiful surrounding park and gardens as a pleasant addition to the castle visit. However, some visitors note that the tour is conducted only in German, which can be challenging for non-German speakers. Additionally, photography is not allowed inside the castle, which disappoints some tourists. The castle's location in the picturesque town of Bad Berleburg adds to its charm, though some find it a bit remote. Overall, Schloss Berleburg offers an authentic and less touristy castle experience, appealing to those interested in German history and architecture.
