The Museum Schnütgen (Schnutgen Museum) is a museum of Christian art in Cologne. The museum holds and exhibits objects mostly from the Middle Ages between the 11th and 16th centuries in the Rhineland. Some pieces date from the Baroque and the 19th century and also from other European countries as well as Byzantium. Since 1956, Museum Schnütgen has been housed in the Romanesque church of St. Cäcilien, but also makes use of the newly built "Kulturquartier am Neumarkt".
