The Shiga Museum of Art, previously known as the Museum of Modern Art, Shiga, was inaugurated in 1984. It is located in Ōtsu, a city in the Shiga Prefecture of Japan. The museum's name was changed in 2021 to reflect a broader scope of its collection.

As of 31 March 2024, the Shiga Museum of Art boasts a collection of approximately 2,589 works. The collection includes notable pieces such as a Brâncuși Bird in Space, paintings by Rothko and Yukihiko Yasuda, and art brut. These works represent a diverse range of artistic styles and periods, offering visitors a comprehensive overview of art history.
